Description
Petricore means “petrichor” the inebriating, earthy scent that fills the air after rain falls on dry soil. It is a complex and captivating fragrance that envelops the countryside, immersing it in a sense of calm and tranquility after a storm. The word “petrichor” comes from the Greek words “petra,” meaning “stone,” and “ichor,” the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods. The scent is created when certain oils released by plants are absorbed by clay and rocks. When it rains, these oils are released into the air, creating the distinctive petrichor aroma. Petrichor is often described as being fresh, clean, and invigorating. It is a scent that can evoke feelings of nostalgia, happiness, and peace. For many people, the smell of petrichor is a welcome reminder of the power of nature and the beauty of the world around us.
Tasting Notes
It has a shiny red ruby colour also a great texture belonging to a full-body wine. It delivers on the nose hints of blackberries, currant and even black pepper or liquorice. Releases to the palate the same aroma of red fruits felt on the nose. Able to wrap and heat up the mouthfeel immediately, its tannin is strong and elegant at once, and freshness and alcohol content are well balanced. Pleasant after tasting.
