Description
“Pietreasecco” ain’t just a name, it’s a whole vibe. It’s a nod to the old-school Sicilian building technique where they used local stone to build everything from houses to barns, especially in the countryside. This technique, passed down from generation to generation, is a big part of Sicilian culture and heritage.
When we named our wine “Pietreasecco,” we wanted to pay homage to this centuries-old tradition and show our deep connection to the Sicilian land. Stone, being solid and long-lasting, symbolizes the strength and tenacity of the Sicilian people who have shaped their land with hard work and dedication.
But that’s not all, folks. Stone also represents the historical memory of Sicily, holding stories of a rich and fascinating past. Our “Pietreasecco” wine is a sip of that history, a way to bring those ancient traditions back to life and share them with the world.
So next time you’re sipping on a glass of “Pietreasecco,” remember that you’re not just drinking a delicious wine, you’re also tasting a piece of Sicilian history and culture. And that’s pretty cool, if you ask me.
Features
Deep red ruby coloured on the nose quickly reveals tertiary notes. Cooked fruit and red berry jam are highly felt. The elegant spicy takes turns with natural herbs typical of the biodiversity of the place. The tannin in the mouthfeel is fine with an elegant structure, leading to strong tertiary hints of chocolate, balsamic, jam, and plum. Its aftertaste is really long.
